We produce research that doesn’t sit on a shelf – it starts conversations, shifts policy, and reshapes practice.

We blend academic rigour with lived experience to investigate complex social issues. Our research is participatory, co-produced, and human-centred. Designed with the people it’s about, not just on them.

We use mixed methods – quant, qual, creative, and experimental – but our edge is how we involve those closest to the issue. From women in the justice system to communities affected by fraud, our work is grounded in lived realities and made to create real-world change.

We’ve led research on includes:

• Community punishment and criminal justice

• Gambling-related harm and illegal money lending

• Financial crime, money laundering, and fraud

• Violence against women and girls. 

• Graffiti, resistance, and placemaking.

• Creative evaluations and behavioural change trials

We also offer something few others do: a dedicated ethics and oversight panel. We guide organisations through their own research, offering expert review, ethical guidance, and tailored support.
